Kessler Theatre - Oak Cliff

Cultural Tuesdays

Sister lived in the Cliff for a while and she helped the whole family discover a wonderful Dallas microcosm that has slowly been seeing resurgence over the years. This is the newest refurb, resurrection, repurpose, etc. that is happening. Thank goodness there are those in Dallas that understand preservation and retention instead of tear it down and “put in a parking lot.”

“The historic Kessler Theater opened in 1942 and was once owned by Gene Autry. It has been hit by a tornado, burned down and served as a revival tabernacle. It has been dormant for 30 years, but things they are a changing. Witness the resurrection!”
